James Slater died suddenly at his home at Clear Creek recently. He was hurt by a cow he was leading, and though he was not thought to be seriously injured, he grew worse very quickly and died in a few minutes. Mr. Slater was a cheesemaker and cheese salesman for a number of years. He is survived by his wife and one son, also by two sisters, Mrs. Edward Curtis of Dereham and Mrs. Isaac Brown of Tillsonburg.
