Simcoe Pork Packing Co'y

We publish below a list of names of those who have subscribed for stock in the above company, which shows a very large increase since our last issue. It would be well for parties desiring stock in this enterprise to make their application as early as possible, as the amount required has been well subscribed for and the stock books of the Company will shortly be closed, after which no stock will be offered for sale.

The promoters of the Company have made a systematic canvas of the surrounding country, but have been unable to see all who might have be desirous of becoming supporters of this project, thereby receiving the many benefits and advantages to be obtained by being a shareholder in the Company.

As will be seen by the following list a large number of the best farmers of the county have already subscribed for stock, still, there are a great many which the canvassers have been unable to see and it is these especially we wish to see take up the balance of the stock offered, as it is impossible to go over the ground a second time, owing to the large territory to be covered. We also ask those who have already subscribed, but may desire to increase the amount of their subscription, to write, or call at the office of the Company, the first opportunity they have.

It is the wish of the Company to commence the work of erecting the buildings, etc. as early as possible, so as to have the plant in operation this coming fall, therefore we would like to see those who are interested in seeing this plant established at an early date, lend all possible and prompt assistance towards establishing this very valuable industry in our county.

[The names listed have been scattered in alphabetic sequence throughout B-M-D etc.]
