SUICIDE
AT JARVIS
Mr. J.
W. Rodgers
Editor of the Record
Shoots Himself to Death
Jarvis, Nov. 5.-- J. W.
Rodgers, editor and proprietor of the Jarvis Record, shot himself through
the head with a rifle this noon. The ball entered his mouth, and
passed out of the top of his head. It is supposed to be a case of
suicide, and was committed in his office while his employees were at
dinner. His office boy, on returning from dinner, found him dead in
the press room, with the doors locked, and a rifle between his legs. Rodgers had a large number of highly respected relatives, both in this
vicinity and different parts of Ontario. He was a member of the
L.O.O.F., and also the Independent Order of Foresters.
