The Late Mrs. Gerald Reid

Mrs. Gerald Reid, who had been a resident of Simcoe for the past seven years, died on Tuesday morning, June 15, is her 61st year.

She was taken seriously ill on Sunday, and despite all that a nurse and two physicians could do, passed out to the world of no sorrow, leaving an assurance that it was well with her soul.

Deceased's maiden name was Miss Jennie Wilson. She was a daughter of the late Abner Wilson of Lynedoch, who was born and lived seventy-three years in that village; and a granddaughter of the late Philip Wilson, one of the pioneer settlers of Norfolk County, settling in Lynedoch one hundred and three years ago the 16th of June.

Her mother's maiden name was Miss Jane Griffin, eldest daughter of the late Nathaniel Griffin, and sister of the late Mrs. Groff.

Always of a cheerful disposition, she had a wide circle of friends, who will sincerely mourn her departure.

She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Miss Arabella, at home; two sons, three sisters and three brothers. Her sisters are Mrs. Wm. Thorn of Lynedoch, Mrs. Monroe and Mrs. Griffin; her brothers are Phillip Wilson of Vermilion, Alta.; G. W. Wilson of Simcoe, and A. Wilson of Lynedoch.

Much sympathy is extended to the family and relatives, who have lost a loving wife, mother and a motherly sister.
