Ishmael J. Padden

The death of Ishmael J. Padden took place at his home, Lot 15, Concession 14, Townsend township, on Sunday, Oct. 21st, after a long illness, in his 65th year. Deceased was a son of the late Horace Padden and Rachel Youmans, who were pioneer residents of Townsend, Mr. Padden having lived his entire life there, too.

Besides his wife, he leaves one son, Robert H. Padden of Buffalo, who came home a month ago on account of his father's illness.

There are also four sisters, Mrs. W. Bailey of Iowa, Mrs. J. Wilkins of Ohio, Mrs. S. Ferrey of Toronto, Mrs. W. Bacon, Delhi, and one brother, Frank Padden, who resides on the adjoining farm, which is a part of the Padden homestead.

The funeral took place from his late residence, one mile east of Mount Zion, on Wednesday, Oct. 24th, at 1 p.m., thence to Mount Zion United Church were service was held at 1.30 o'clock.
