Walter McMichael

Mr. Walter McMichael died at his home south of this village on Sunday morning, after a brief illness with Flu.

Mr. McMichael, who was the third of six children of the late William McMichael, was born near Boston, Ont., in 1847, but moved to
Waterford with his parents at an early age, and lived here all his life.

His wife, who was Miss Annie Robb, of Muncey, Penn., predeceased
him 30 years ago, but three children survive him, Robert and Bertha
at home, and Clarence of Muncey, Penn.

Mr. McMichael was a member of the Baptist Church and for many years sang in the choir. He was in the Fathers' Choir which sang in the Church
at the service on Mother's Day.

For a number of years Mr. McMichael was Assessor in the Township of Townsend and was well known and highly respected throughout the community.

The funeral was held from his late home on Tuesday afternoon, services being conducted by Rev. J. D. MacLachlan and Rev. J. B. Moore.
Mr. T. C. Savage sang an appropriate and beautiful solo.

Among those present was his son, Clarence, who with his wife, had made
a non-stop trip by motor from Muncey Friday night and Saturday only
to find his father had passed on ere he arrived.
