PORT ROWAN

Mrs. Fanny McGilvery died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. A. Mabee, in this village on Thursday of last week, in her 83rd year. She was born in the County of Clare, Ireland, and came to Canada when a young girl.

She married Charles McGilvery, and they lived in
Port Dover for a number of years. After the death of her husband she came to live with her daughter here, and during that period of 13 years she was an invalid.

She however bore her infirmities with great patience, which exemplified her nobe Christian character.
She was a member of the Methodist Church, and when in health took an active part in the activities.

Deceased is survived by three sons and two daughters:
William of New York City,
David of Manitoulin Island, and
Charles of Simcoe;
Mrs. C. S. Bigelow of Carson City, Michigan, and
Mrs. W. A. Mabee of Port Rowan.

One brother, David Kelly, of Lynn Valley, also survives to mourn her loss.

The service was held at the home on Saturday, conducted by Rev. J. Melviun Smith, and the remains were taken to Simcoe, thence to Port Dover Cemetery.

The pallbearers at Simcoe to the grave were Dr. Burt, Wm. Thorndykes [sic], H. S. Macpherson, E. E. Collins,
H. Frank Cook and Frank Stevenson.
