Culloden: William Charles Kenline, the oldest resident of this district, passed away on April 8th, in his 98th year, after an illness of nine weeks.

Mr. Kenline was a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Kenline of Middleton Township. In 3 Aug 1880 he was married to Annie Mary Gering [sic], a daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Leonard Gering [sic] of Fisherville, and last August they celebrated their 65th wed- [sic] many years of their married life at Langton, beofre coming to Culloden.

Besides his wife, Mr. Kenline is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mary McEwen of Verachoyle and Mrs. Eliza McEwen of Culloden, also five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was conducted at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Eliza McEwen by Rev. W. Heinze pastor of the Rhineland Lutheran Church. The pallbearers were nephews of the deceased, James Kenline, Frank Kenline, John Feere, C. Cole, T. Youse and C. Cowan.

The flower bearers were grandsons and great-grandson, Garnet Yake, Orville Brooks, Mac Moulton and Douglas Yake. The floral tributes were numerous and beautiful, testifying to the esteem in which Mr. Kenline was held. Interment was in the Rhineland Lutheran Cemetery.
