Death of Mr. John Kelly of Lynedoch

On Tuesday, 24 Feb 1920, death again entered the home of Mr. John Kelly, taking one of our older residents in the person of Mr. Kelly.

Just four weeks before, Mr. Kelly's mother, aged 87, passed away at the same home. Both had been highly esteemed residents of the vicinity, coming here about 58 years ago from Windham, where Mr. Kelly was born and living almost constantly on the farm where they died.

Mr. Kelly was a valued member of the Anglican Church at Lynedoch.

He leaves to mourn his loss, besides his widow, formerly Miss Alice Cole, two daughters and two sons:
Mrs. Chas. Smoke of Delhi,
Leila, Robert and George at home;
four brothers and two sisters:
Mrs. Robert Collins of Midland, Mich.;
Salem of North Walsingham;
William of Simcoe; and George of Vancouver.
Two grandchildren also survive.

The funeral took place on 27 Feb 1920 to Evergreen Cemetery, Lynedoch, where interment was made in the family plot.
