PORT ROYAL
One of our oldest and most
respected citizens has been removed by death, Mr. Gustavus
Bingham, Esq.
He has been quite ill for
a long time with bronchial infection, which terminated in death
last Sabbath morning, 26 Spt 1880.
He was a professor of
religion for many years and died happy.
The funeral was attended
by a large number of neighbors and friends. A sermon was preached
by Rev. W. T. Osborne and he was interred in Port Royal Cemetery.
He leaves a sorrowing
widow and two sons to mourn his loss.
