LYNN VALLEY

P. W. Austin of Lynn Valley celebrated his 80th birthday on 24 Jan 1920, when 33 friends and relatives gathered to wish him  many happy returns of the day.

Of his 10 children four were present:
Mrs. Leitch and son Wallace of Strathroy,
Mrs. G. W. Buchner and family of Port Ryerse,
Nelson Austin and son Murray of Tillsonburg,
and Will Austin and family of Lynn Valley.

Miss Reta Austin of Paris was also present.

In the evening the neighbors came in and an enjoyable time was spent in games and music.

Mr. Austin, who is still hale and hearty, danced the clog dance, which was played by Miss Reid of Hamilton.

Then all joined in singing "Auld Lang Syne," and the party dispersed with hearty wishes for many future good times.
