The marriage was solemnized at noon on Saturday, 
29 Jun 1918, at St. Paul's Church, of Miss Eileen [Velvian], the elder of the two daughters of Mr. and Mrs. George Williamson, to Dr. Herbert Knutsen Detweiler, 
of the staff of the University of Toronto, and son of 
Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Detweiler of Kitchener.

Rev. M. Scott Fulton, pastor of St. Paul's performed the ceremony. The church had been decorated for the occasion with daisies and purple vetch. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore her travelling suit of dark blue with a grey hat brimmed with white wings. There were no attendants.

After the marriage service a wedding luncheon was served to a few friends and relatives at the bride's home. Dr. and Mrs. Detweiler motored to Waterford, where they took a train to Toronto. They will spend the summer months in the Laurentian Mountains.

Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Detweiler and Mr. Edgar Detweiler came from Kitchener to be present and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Scott, Miss Helen and Master Martin came from Hamilton. Miss Marjorie Williamson was also able to return home from Toronto for her sister's wedding.
