Townsend-Pew

A happy event took place at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Pew, Windham, on Wednesday, 12 Oct 1910, at twelve o'clock noon, when their daughter Nellie, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Mr. John Townsend, also of Windham,
Rev. A. W. Shepperson of Colborne performing the ceremony..

Miss Orpha Cameron of Simcoe played the wedding march while the happy couple took their places under an arch of evergreens and maple leaves.

The bride was becomingly gowned in cream San Toy, and wore the customary bridal veil. She was assisted by her cousin, Miss Minnie Cunningham, who was gowned in blue voila.

The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. Henry Townsend.

After the ceremony a very bountiful wedding dinner was enjoyed by about 60 friends and relatives of the contracting parties.

Mr. and Mrs. Townsend left via M.C.R. for Niagara Falls and points east.
