The Late Mrs. John Lade

The funeral of the late Mrs. John Lade of Hamilton 
took place on Sunday afternoon from the residence of her brother, Wm. Staley, to the family plot in Normandale Cemetery.

The deceased was the eldest of the family of the late 
John and Mary Staley of Normandale.

Besides her husband, she is survived by four children: Sgt.-Major John Lade of the Canadian Engineers, now 
in France, Mrs. George Thornewell of Ancaster, 
Mrs. Alex. Barber of Toronto, and Fred Jackson of Port Dover, also three brothers, George and William of Normandale, C. J. of Simcoe, and one sister, 
Mrs. C. H. Carpenter of Bartonville.

Rev. Mr. Hurlburt of the Vittoria Baptist Church conducted the service at the house and grave. The pall-bearers were old companions of the deceased: Messrs. Tom and Frank Culver, John Helmer, Will Guiler, John Post and Joe Cronk.
