Death of Herbert Shannon

The remains of the late Herbert Shannon, who died in Florida last week, arrived in Simcoe today and were buried with military honors at Oakwood Cemetery.

The former resident of Simcoe died as the result of exposure following the recent hurricane which 
swept that state.

The late Herbert Shannon was an overseas man in the Great War, having enlisted with the 133rd Battalion of Norfolk. He was wounded in battle,

He was for many years a resident of Simcoe, being employed with J. Austin & Co., druggists. He was well-liked by all with whom he came in contact in business life.

There are no relatives in this country, but word of his death has been forwarded to his mother in Ireland.
