Privates
G. W. Ryan and Frank Pierce arrived home on Monday night.
Nothing definite was known
as to when they would arrive, and there was no reception for them
on reaching home.
They are both of modest
deportment and although conscious of having done their full duty
they express themselves as gratified that their sacrifices have
been appreciated and desired that no public demonstration should
be made especially on their behalf.
Every minute of their time
is taken up receiving the congratulations of young
and old.
