Murray
Paterson Killed
Chatham, 17 Sep 1917 --
Lieut. Murray Paterson has been killed. An official message was
received this afternoon by his father, D. S. Paterson, of the
Collegiate Institute.
He was in the C.A.M.C., but
had been in hospital in England for some time.
A letter was received a few
days ago that he was convalescent and had been granted leave. The
message is not official, but says he was killed on the railroad.
The deceased officer was
awarded the Military Cross about a year ago, and shortly afterward
was home here on furlough.

The father, Mr. D. S.
Paterson, was principal of the Simcoe High School, preceding Mr.
Christie.
