Woodstock Man Killed by Automobile
Was Well-Known in Simcoe,
Where his mother resides

Mr. James F. Moore, a prominent and popular merchant of Woodstock, was struck by an automobile on Saturday afternoon at three o'clock and so seriously injured that he was rendered unconscious. In this state he remained until Monday morning, when he succumbed.

Mr. Moore was in the act of getting into a friend's car to go to his store, when another car, driven by a Mr. Rutter, ran into him with such lamentable results. Rutter was arrested and is out on $[....] bail, supplied by the Royal Bank.

Mr. Moore was born in Walpole, in 1867, but spent his early years in Port Dover. Mrs. John Moore of Victoria Street in Simcoe is his mother, and he has four sisters, Mrs. Charles Niblett of Owen Sound, Mrs. Harry L. Pratt of Windsor, and Misses Fanny and Ann Moore of Simcoe.

He also leaves a widow, who was a Miss Varey of Port Dover.
