The Late Mrs. Misner

One more link with Norfolk's pas is secured by the passing of Mrs. William Misner, a member of one of Norfolk's pioneer families, who died 12 Dec 1918, in her 86th year.

She was a daughter of the late Peter and Haklah Anderson, and was born in Vittoria on 16 Jan 1833. When she was nine years of age the family moved from Vittoria to a farm about two miles west of Simcoe.

On Mar 18[68], she was united in marriage by Elder Slaght of Waterford, to William Misner of Renton, near which place she spent the remainder of her days.

While still in her girlhood she became a member of the First Baptist Church of Simcoe, and since then her Bible has been her guide.

She was a woman of sterling worth and was beloved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed in her home and the community in which she lived in faith and in hope.

Mrs. Misner has been in feeble health for some time, but was confined to her bed only a short time to passing.

In this life she leaves to mourn her love her husband, and daughter, Mrs. Harry Nelson of Simcoe, and four sons,
Albert of Brantford, Charles of Polk, Pa.,
Walter of Mt. Pleasant and Arthur of Detroit.

There are three grandchildren, numerous near relatives and hosts of friends who are left to regret her demise.

The funeral was held from his home on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
Rev. H. C. Newcombe of the Simcoe Baptist Church spoke words of comfort. The bearers were the four sons, her son-in-law Harry Nelson of Simcoe, and George Anderson of Tillsonburg.
