Township Clerk and Wife observe
Golden Wedding

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry McKnight, Teeterville, was the scene of a happy event on Tuesday, the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary.

Approximately 30 were present for the day, including
Mr. and Mrs. McKnight's sons and daughters and their children.

Mr. McKnight, who is 74 years old and who has been clerk of the Township of Windham for many years, is
a son of the late James McKnight and Sarah Wray.

Mrs. McKnight, who is 73, is a daughter of the late Thomas Edgeworth and Marjorie Robertson.

On 9 Mar 1887 they were married in Norwich by the
Rev. W. H. Myers. Their attendants were A. R. McKnight, the groom's brother, who now resides in Simcoe and
Miss Gustie Edgeworth, the bride's sister, both of whom were present for the anniversary on Tuesday.

Their seven children are:
Mrs. Bruce Jull and Mrs. Albert S. Jull of Little Lake,
Mrs. Sherman Livsey of Detroit,
Miss Jennie and Mr. James McKnight of Teeterville,
Mr. Harry McKnight of Simcoe and
Mrs. S. B. Oppenheimer of Chicago, Ill.

Following their marriage Mr. and Mrs. McKnight settled in Teeterville in the home where they still reside.
Both are enjoying the best of health and it is hoped they may be spared to celebrate many more anniversaries of their marriage.
