19 Dec 1918 issue of Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

By the death of Mrs. Wm. McIntosh of Carholme, a family of four children, ranging in age from six to 19, is left motherless.

Mrs. McIntosh died on Saturday after a long illness from that painful disease, cancer of the stomach.

Beside the bereaved husband and the children, Will, Bessie, Carlin and Mary, there are left three brothers: W. A. Bowyer of Simcoe, Charles and John Bowyer of Walsingham, and two sisters, Mrs. Simon L. Hunter of Walsingham, and Mrs. Nelson Hagan of Walsingham.

Mrs. McIntosh, who was 50 years of age, at one time attended Simcoe High School, and as "Lib" Bowyer is remembered by many of the students of her day.

The funeral was held on Tuesday, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Bowyer and Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Hunter being in attendance.
