Matheson-Durward

Tillsonburg, Feb. 7 -- The marriage of Miss Annie Isabelle Durward to Robert R. Matheson, a well known fruit farmer of Bangor, Michigan took place Wednesday at the home of the sister of the bride, Mrs. Walter Brown..

The ceremony was performed by Rev. A. Shannon, the bride wearing a traveling dress of navy blue serge, with black hat and seal furs.

Miss Margaret Shattack of South Norwich played the wedding march and sang "I love you truly" at the conclusion of the ceremony. Little Bobbie Brown, nephew of the bride, acted as page, and carried the ring.

Mr. and Mrs. Matheson left during the afternoon for their home in Bangor.

-----

Both the bride and groom are natives of Simcoe. Mr. Matheson is the eldest son of the late Thomas Grey Matheson, M.A., barrister, who left here 30-odd years ago to be crown attorney of Halton County. The bride's father was the late Mr. Alexander Durward, a former Simcoe merchant. Her mother still resides here.
