The death occurred suddenly on Saturday, 16 Jun 1917, at the home of her son John Atkinson of North Walsingham, after an illness of a few hours from a stroke, of Mrs. Eliza Atkinson, widow of Charles Atkinson of Walsingham.

Deceased was born in Blenheim Township, Oxford County, in the year 1836 and moved with her parents to South Norwich in the year 1853. In 1854 she married Charles Atkinson, who predeceased her six years ago.

She is survived by seven children: 
Mrs. Wm, Martin of Tillsonburg, 
Mrs. Robert Willis of London, 
Isaac of Middleton, John of North Walsingham, 
Charles of Norwich, Albert somewhere in France, 
William of Houghton, and 26 grandchildren.

The funeral took place on Monday afternoon at Glen Meyer, interment being made in the Glen Meyer Cemetery. 

The service was conducted by the Rev. Mr. Johnson of Langton and Rev. Mr. Middlemiss of Glen Meyer.
