There passed away on Thursday morning
George W. Howey, at the residence of his
son, Carman Howey.

The late Mr. Howey had been ailing for
several months past with paralysis.

Deceased united with the Methodist Church
many years ago and was a consistent member,
and was always ready to help in time of need.

Honest and upright in all his dealings,
a kind and obliging neighbor and friend,
he will be greatly missed in the community.

The funeral was conducted by his pastor on
Sunday afternoon, interment being made in
Vanessa Cemetery.

Deceased leaves to mourn his departure,
three sons and one daughter, E. H. Howey
of Fairfield Plains, Edwin and Carrie of
Vancouver and Carman on the homestead,
and a number of grandchildren, his wife
having predeceased him several years ago.

The sympathy of the whole community will
be extended to the bereaved family in their
sorrow.
