Sudden Call

Death came suddenly to Mrs. Freeman Cousins of Middleton on Wednesday morning, 2 Jan 1918.

She had just completed milking about 9 o'clock and
was carrying the milk to the home when she was
seized with a paralytic stroke.

Her husband was nearby and cames to her assistance.
He conveyed her to the house and medical aid was summoned. Before the doctor's arrival however the unfortunate women had breathed her last.

The deceased, who was 48 years of age, was a daughter of the late John Girvin, and besides her husband, leaves one son, Fred of Chippewa,  one daughter, Lillian, at home, and her mother, who resided with her.

The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon at 1.30 from her late residence to the Baptist Church at Courtland, where service and interment were held.
