Death of Samuel Collins

An old resident of this village passed away last Friday evening, 21 Sep 1917, in the person of Samuel Collins, who had reached the age of 79 years.

He was born at Chippewa in 1838, and at the age of four years his parents moved to Windham, then to Townsend, and later to Waterford, where he spent the remainder of his life.

He was highly respected by all who knew him and will be greatly missed by both family and friends.

The funeral was held on Sunday afternoon, and was largely attended. Interment took place at Round Plains cemetery.

Two sisters survive him, Miss Collins and Mrs, Ammerman, both of this place.
