Late Mrs. Hiram Howey

There died at her home in Mount Pleasant on Thursday, 18 Jan 1917, Elsie Naomi Carrow, daughter of the late John Carrow of Atherton, and wife of Mr. Hiram Howey.

Besides her husband, deceased leaves one daughter,
Mrs. James Guest of Mount Pleasant, two brothers,
Geo. Carrow of Atherton and Arthur of Toronto, three sisters, Mrs. Edgar Evans and Mrs. Chandler of Chicago, and Mrs. G. H. Malcolm of Brantford.

Mrs. Howey was ill just two weeks, suffering from an attack of rheumatism and after much pain, and in spite of all that careful nursing could do, she passed away.

The funeral took place on Saturday, 20 Jan 1917. An impressive service was held at the house conducted by her pastor, Rev. Chas. G. D. Cole, after which the interment was made at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Many beautiful floral offerings showed the esteem and love of those who knew her.
