(Too late for last week)

It is with feelings of deepest sorrow that we have to chronicle the death of a highly esteemed citizen in
the person of Mrs. Calvin Burger.

She had been in delicate health for the past six years,
a part of which time she was a great sufferer, and for
the past two years had been unable to walk.

She was a member of the Methodist Church since girlhood, and when health permitted was active in
all church work.

Deceased was 48 years of age and leaves to mourn
her loss a husband and two sons.
A little daughter predeceased her several years ago.

What made her death more sad is the fact that Mr. Burger is suffering from nervous prostration, and was unable to attend the bedside of his wife in her last hours.
He is at present in Brantford under the care of
a nurse and doctor.

The funeral was held on Friday last from the home of her sister, Mrs. Edwin Ostrosser, who has cared for her in the last few months. The sorrowing relatives have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement.

[Compiler's Comment: Article published 21 Feb, too late for last week, 14 Feb, when the funeral was Friday last -- so we assume funeral was 8 Feb 1918]
