Death of Welby Axford

The death took place last week at his home at Lynnville of Welby Axford, a son of the late Wellington Axford of that place.

Deceased, who was only 28 years of age, was born in Windham, but had been living for a time in Buffalo, returning about two years ago to his old home in the hope of regaining his health.

He is survived by his wife, their only child, a little girl, having died since their return to Canada. There also remain two brothers and two sisters, Dr. M. Axford and 
Mrs. T. Weatherstone of Buffalo, 
Mr. J. Leslie Axford of Brantford, and 
Mrs. Frank Livsey of Windham.

The funeral took place on Sunday, 
25 May 1918, from his late residence, to the cemetery at Lynnville. Owing to the illness of Rev. J. B. Snider, the services were conducted by Rev. N. A. Hurlburt of Delhi. The pall-bearers were Messrs. Earl Bates, Orlo VanEvery, Clark Davis, Fred Brown and Wm. Walmsley.
