At the very early age of 29 years, Dr. Howard York, formerly resident surgeon at the Toronto Western Hospital, died at the home of his father, Lieut.-Col.
I. E. York, Waterford, on Sunday, October 22nd.

The late Dr. York graduated in medicine at the Toronto University, attended McGill University, Montreal, and served one year at Toronto Western Hospital. He afterwards graduated from the medical department of Columbia University, New York, and was engaged in post-graduate work in New York hospitals when he became the victim of heart trouble.

His father went to New York a short time ago and brought Howard home and everything possible was done to bring about a recovery, but of no avail.

The doctor was a brilliant student and possessed a very bright and amiable disposition, and consequently was very much beloved by many friends.

The funeral, under Masonic auspices, took place Wednesday at 2 p.m. The sorrowing parents and one brother, Gordon, of Chicago, have the heartfelt sympathy of their many friends.
