Died While on Visit

The death occurred in Tillsonburg on Sunday, at the home of her son, Arthur, of Mrs. Rachel McKim, of South Middleton, widow of the late Philip McKim, and one of the pioneers of Norfolk County.

Mrs. McKim, who was in her 81st year, was born in Canterbury, England, and came to Canada with her parents, John and Jane Lade, when she was but 15 years of age.

The family first settled at Port Ryerse, and afterwards went to Townsend; later they went to Middleton.

About Christmas time, Mrs. McKim went to Tillsonburg to spend the winter with her son, intending to return to her home in the spring.

She is the last of four brothers and four sisters, and is survived by by three children: John, who resides on the homestead at South Middleton; Arthur, and Mrs. John A. Wilson of Tillsonburg.
