Oliver Jarvis died Sunday
Suffered a Stroke about two
weeks ago--was well known

A very well known farmer of Windham Township passed to his rest on Sunday in the person of Oliver Jarvis.

Mr. Jarvis suffered a paralytic stroke about two years ago, from which he never fully recovered, although he was not seriously ill until about three weeks ago.

The deceased has been a prominent man in the county for forty years, coming to Windham from Hamilton about that time. He was a prominent member of the Home Circle and the Ancient Order United Workman, and a member of the Methodist church.

He leaves to mourn his loss two sons and two daughters. His surviving sons are Edgar of Waterford, and Frank of Woodhouse. The daughters are Mrs. Arthur Sterling of Toronto, and Mrs. Horace Widner of Windham.

Three brothers and a sister also survive. His sister is Mrs. Burkholder of Hamilton, and his brothers are Duncan and Sylvester of Hamilton, and Isaac of Beemsville.

His wife predeceased him four years ago.

The funeral, which was private, took place on Tuesday afternoon from his late residence to the Old Windham cemetery, Elder Moore and Rev. W. H. Garnham performing the services.
