LANGTON -- Among the sad events which have cast a gloom over our usually cheerful village, is the death of Zillah Hellyer, who fell a victim to Typhoid Fever on the 5th of the present month

She was in her fifteenth year, and of a very lively and genial disposition. Her early death gives point and force to what was said by some pagan ages ago, "Those whom the gods love die young," and "The King of terrors loves a shining mark."

She was born in Colborne, in Windham, but had resided with her parents near Langton for several years. Her father, Thos. C. Hellyer, was widely known throughout the County of Norfolk, where he for many years practised as a Veterinary Surgeon.

Zillah had been attending the Brantford School during past year, and her teachers and classmates will read with pain this notice of premature death. Her illness lasted about three weeks.

She was buried in Wilson's graveyard near Lynedoch. Her remains were followed to the grave by many sorrowing friends among whom her grief stricken mother, brothers and sisters were the chief mourners.
