She was born in Winnisheik county, In., May 18, 1869. She is survived by her father, James A. Hart, of this town; five sisters, Mrs. J. M. Vance, Mankato, Minn.; Mrs. H. J. The remains were cremated by her request, and will be returned for burial in the churchyard at her birthplace on Washington Prairie, Winnisheik county, In., where her mother, Arosamond Price Hart, was buried. Her mother and father were native Canadians, both being born in Norfolk county. They emigrated to Iowa and settled in Washington Prairie in 1856.

Miss Hart had spent many years in mission work in foreign countries chiefly in China and India, though her travels had taken her around the world....
