Death of Mrs. H. A. Hardy

Mrs. Henry A. Hardy, widow of a former County Crown Attorney of Norfolk, died on Friday last at the home of her eldest daughter, Mrs. W. H. Lester, 376 Manning Avenue, Toronto.

Mrs. Hardy was in her 88th year. Three daughters survive, Mrs. Lester, Mrs. Duncombe of Chicago, and Mrs. E. W. Syer of Toronto.

Interment took place in Oakwood Cemetery, on the arrival of the Toronto train on Monday morning.

Mrs. Hardy was Marcia, daughter of the late Rev. John Ryerson, one of the four famous sons of Colonel Joseph Ryerson, the Long Point pioneer.

She came to reside in Simcoe from Brantford, when her husband was appointed Crown Attorney for Norfolk.

He was a cousin of His Honor Judge Hardy, and of Hon. A. S. Hardy, one time Premier. One of Mrs. Hardy's cousins is General George Sterling Ryerson of Toronto. The family of Mr. T. R. Nelles, Simcoe, are also relatives.
