OBITUARY
The Late Mr. Gilbert

William Rowland Gilbert, one of the oldest and most highly esteemed residents of Windham, passed away suddenly on January 12.

Although not in the best of health for sometime previous, he went to bed apparently as well as usual, but when the family went in to call him in the morning they found him cold in death, heart failure being the cause.

Mr. Gilbert was born in Woodhouse in 18[38], and had spent most of his life in this vicinity, moving on a farm near Nixon about 20 years ago, where he had resided ever since.

He was a son of the late Isaac Henry Gilbert and grandson of Rowland Gilbert, one of the pioneers of Norfolk.

He leaves to mourn his loss five sons and three daughters: John and Charles of Hand Hills, Alberta;
Robert, Jacob and Bruce, of Nixon;
Mrs. Wm. Whitehead and Mrs. Roy Boughner of Nixon; and one brother, Ronald, of Chicago, Ill., his wife having died about three months ago.

The funeral took place from the family residence to Bethel Cemetery.
