A Double Wedding

It was a happy, jovial party of friends of Mrs. J. McCready and family, Hazen Road, North Walsingham, that gathered at her residence last Wednesday. They were from Welland, Elgin, Oxford and Norfolk counties.

The cause of the gathering was a double wedding. Mr. Wm. Corless of South Dorchester, was to carry off Miss Nellie McCready, and Mr. Edward Redwell, of South Middleton, was the happy man to take Miss Alicia McCready.

The ceremony took place at noon on the homestead lawn and was performed by Rev. F. Leigh of Delhi. The brides were attended by the twin Misses Bulming, of Welland, their cousins, and were given away by Mr. J. McCready.

The partaking of a beautiful dinner followed the ceremony and a very merry party spent a pleasant afternoon with the young couples before they departed for London on their honeymoon. A fine lot of presents, many of them very costly, were displayed in the parlor.
