Death of M. R. Counter

There must still be some few residents of Simcoe who have recollections of Mr. Moses R. Counter, a younger brother of Simcoe's senior business-man, Mr. George F. Counter.

Half a century ago he went to school in Simcoe and afterwards learned the jewellry business with his brother. He married a Simcoe girl and subsequently started in the jewellry business in Seaforth. So long as he resided there he was a frequent visitor to Simcoe.

About twenty-five years ago he moved to Honolulu, H.I., where he has ever since been carrying on business.

Word of his death there after a very brief illness, on Monday, 23rd November, was received by his Simcoe relatives a few days ago.

Deceased was born in Devon, England, and was in his 60th year. He will be remembered by all survivors of the Fenwick Rifles as a member of that body.
