DEATH OF MISS BURT

Miss Wilhelmina Burt, sister of Dr. David Burt, died at the residence of Jas. P. Dorsey, on Brown street, at twelve o'clock last night, after an illness of a little over two weeks.

Miss Burt came here from Simcoe, Ontario, last March, for the purpose of spending the summer with her brother, as she did not enjoy the best of health.

She also passed several months here two years ago, making many friends and acquaintances on both occasions, all of who can but speak of her in the highest words of praise, as she was a lady endowed with many noble traits of both head and heart.

The announcement of her death this morning was as surprising as it was sad, for while she had been ill since Saturday, the 28th of last month, no apprehension was felt for her recovery until yesterday, when her condition became alarming, and in the afternoon she relapsed into a sound sleep, from which she did not awaken.

The deceased lady was 28 years of age, and death was caused by neuralgia of the lungs and nervous prostration.

The remains will leave this morning for Simcoe, accompanied by her brother and undertaker C. H. Grant. A father, mother, five brothers and three sisters are left to mourn her loss, a majority of whom reside in Ontario. -- Stevens Point Gazette.

To the kind friends in Stevens Point, who during the illness of my daughter, did so much to alleviate her sufferings, and did not forget the afflicted after her death, I would return any most heartfelt thanks.  Wm. Burt, Senr.
