The following is from a page 1 article in the 18 Jul 1918 issue of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

Delhi Aviator Killed

Cadet J. C. [sic] White [153535], son of P. G. White, merchant of Delhi, was instantly killed near Picton, Ont., on Sunday afternoon as the result of a collision 
in the air.

The occupant of the other plane suffered a like fate. 
The accident took place near Picton.

The young men belonged to the Royal Air Force 
and were attached to the Deseronto Training Camp.

The body of young White was taken to Delhi for interment. Previous to enlistment he lived in 
London, where he was employed in the 
Smallman & Ingram store.
 
 

The following is from the Wyecombe column on page 2 of the 18 Jul 1918 issue of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

Much sympathy is felt for Mr. and Mrs. P. J. White 
of Delhi, in the death of their son, Pte. J. G. White, 
in training at Deseronto. 
Mrs. R. Hunter of this place is an aunt.

 

The following is from the South Middleton column on page 6 of the 18 Jul 1918 issue of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

Several from here attended the funeral of E. J. White [sic] at Delhi on Friday. Deceased was killed in an aeroplane accident near Picton.
