Beyond the official notice of his wounding, no word has been received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Spain, as to the seriousness, or otherwise, of the wounds sustained by Private John Spain, who left Canada as a member of the 133rd Battalion.

The parents of Pte. John Spain were notified on Thursday last that their son was wounded and missing, the "missing" being an addition to the former notice that he was wounded during the drive of 15 or 17 Aug.
