The following is from the Items of Local Interest column on page 12 of the 28 Nov 1918 issue of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

Pat Dickson (797657, sic) of Nixon, a member of the former 133rd Battalion, has been reported as having died of wounds.
 
 
 
 

 

The following is from a page 1 article in the 5 Dec 1918 issue of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

PRIVATE PATRICK DICKSON

797667 -- Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Smith of Delhi have been notified officially that their son-in-law, Private Patrick Dickson, died of wounds on the 6th of November, 1918.

Pte. Dickson was a Delhi boy who enlisted with the 133rd Battalion. He was transferred to the [2nd] C.M.R.; was wounded in January 1918, and again in August, 1918. He leaves two small sons, one four and the other two years old.
