PRIVATE THOMAS G. CHALMERS

Private Thomas G. Chalmers came to Canada from Wigton, Scotland, in May 1913, and worked for Mr. Harvey G. Misner at Tyrrell.

Later he went west, where he enlisted at Lethbridge, with the Canadian Engineers, returning east for 
training at St. John's, P.Q.

While in training he spent a week with old friends around Tyrrell.

[He] was killed in action on 1 September, after a 
year of service at the front.
