Soldier's Son Hurt
If Death Occurs Will be 
Second Bereavement 
Since Leaving for War

At Tillsonburg on Thursday last, Jack, the four-year-old son of Sergt. and Mrs. A. F. Gerrow of that town, formerly of Simcoe, was perhaps fatally injured when he fell down a cellar stairs in the restaurant conducted by Mrs. Gerrow. Medical aid was summoned and he was found to be suffering from a fractured skull.
Sergt. Gerrow is serving with the 71st Battalion in France. His infant son died a few weeks ago.

Items of Local Interest

The death occured at Youngstown, Alta., of Melvin Sinclair, son of Mrs. James Sinclair of Middleton. Mr. Sinclair formerly resided in the west but on account of failing health he sold his property there and returned to Ontario, and last spring bought a small place near London, where he resided. He went west on the harvesters' excursion some time ago, and was taken ill there. He leaves a widow and three children. Mrs. Glen Wilson of Glen Meyer is a sister, Mrs. James Smith of Simcoe, and Mrs. Hutchinson of Buffalo; and there is another sister in California and a brother in Seattle.
