Nober

The death occurred Monday afternoon of Mr. James Halligan of this place. The deceased has enjoyed good health until about four months ago, when he was attacked by some apparently mysterious disease of the throat or palate.

After being treated for three months by local doctors, he visited the Toronto Hospital, but received no encouragement, the disease having developed into a cancer.

He was a good friend and a kind neighbor and greatly esteemed by all who knew him.

A wife, one son and two young daughters are left to mourn the loss of an affectionate husband and father. To them will be extended the sincere sympathy of many friends.

Tyrrell

We are sad to report the death of Estella, eldest daughter of Mr. Henry Blayney, who departed this life on Saturday last from inflammation. All that medical skill could do was without avail.

She had all prospects of a bright future before her, yet death had claimed her at the dawn of life. She would have been 15 years old on Monday.

The funeral took place on Monday and the remains were interred in Oakwood cemetery as was her request. The pallbearers she chose were some of her schoolmates, Henry, Roy and Ross Misner, Harry Stuart, Chancy Kitchen and Ernest Erwin.

The bereaved family has the sympathy of the community.
