Talbot District Agricultural Association
 
On Saturday, the 15th day of May, 1841, a public meeting was held at the North American Hotel in the town of Simcoe in pursuance of an appointment of the Sheriff of the District to take into consideration the expediency of establishing an Agricultural Association of the District of Talbot. 

The following gentlemen were proposed as the officers of the association.
