This is the beach in front of the webmaster's 10 Dec 2001 Port Ryerse home -- note: no snow. The bar in the foreground is the top of a retaining wall installed in the 1970s to keep Lake Erie from the webmaster's doorstep. After three years of drought, the beach on the far side of the wall shows how low the lake level has fallen. (The webmaster moved to Simcoe in 2003.)
